Our Story

About
Tora House

Built with restraint, furnished with care, and run with the conviction that less — done beautifully — is more than enough.

How it began

A family home,
opened to guests

Tora House started as a personal retreat — a heritage property set against the dramatic ridgeline of Naggar in the Kullu Valley, with the Beas river visible in the valley below and Deo Tibba on the horizon.

After years of private use, the founders decided the place deserved to be shared. A careful restoration followed — stone walls kept intact, local timber used throughout, and seven guest suites added that sit quietly into the Himalayan hillside.

Today Tora House is still a family enterprise. Our team comes from Naggar and the surrounding villages. The kitchen runs on what the valley offers each season.

What guides us

Our convictions

Unhurried by design

No check-in queues, no activity itineraries pushed on you. We set the table; you decide when to sit.

Rooted in place

Our staff come from Naggar village. The kitchen sources from the valley. Every rupee spent here stays here.

Quietly ecological

Solar-heated water, rainwater harvesting, zero single-use plastic. Sustainability you don't have to read about on a sign.
